Cortex Discover
A purpose-built agentic browser for research, multi-tab work and controlled browser action.
Cortex Discover is Pervaziv’s desktop browser built around Cortex. A native side panel connects a conversation to the pages and tabs in front of you, combining research, page understanding and approved browser actions in one workspace.
Get started
Section titled “Get started”Download the signed installer from the authenticated Pervaziv Console for Windows x86-64 or macOS on Apple silicon or Intel. Sign in to Cortex in the side panel, open a page and ask for a summary.
Research across sources
Section titled “Research across sources”Discover can explain the current page and compare explicitly selected tabs. The browser supplies current page and navigation context, allowing Cortex to relate a question to the material being viewed. Multiple sources can support a research task without requiring you to paste each page into a separate conversation.
Typical uses include comparing technical documentation, investigating an issue across a repository and supporting pages, or collecting the context for an engineering decision. Multi-tab work describes how to choose the sources for a task.
Browser actions with visible context
Section titled “Browser actions with visible context”Eligible tasks can navigate and interact with supported page controls. The browser provides fresh state for the action, including the current page and visual context. This supports tasks that need more than a summary, such as moving through a web workflow or inspecting a result after navigation.
Consequential operations can require approval. If a page changes, Cortex may need new context before continuing. Browser actions explains the supported interaction and approval behavior.
Files, downloads and reviewable results
Section titled “Files, downloads and reviewable results”Selected files can contribute context to a conversation. Download state and file information help users confirm the result of browser work, while the conversation records the explanation or next step. Uploaded material and downloads have different roles: an attachment is an input, and a verified download is a result to inspect.
See Files, screenshots and downloads for the supported inputs and checks.
Part of the Cortex experience
Section titled “Part of the Cortex experience”Discover can carry the objective into another Cortex surface through Cortex Connect. Browser research may lead to code work in an IDE or terminal, or an eligible Cortex Cloud task. Approved enterprise connectors provide additional service context where enabled.
Choose Discover when you want a browser centered on Cortex and browser actions. Browser Extensions provide a side-panel experience inside a browser you already use.
What makes Discover different from an extension
Section titled “What makes Discover different from an extension”Discover is a dedicated browser, not a plug-in layered over another product. The native Cortex side panel brings page context, selected tabs, attachments, conversation history and task status together alongside familiar browsing controls. Tabs and navigation remain usable while Cortex works with the selected material.
That relationship matters for dynamic applications. A dashboard can refresh without opening a new tab, and a detail view can replace a list at the same address. Discover associates context with the current document and refreshes observations when the page changes. The goal is to reason about the state you are viewing, rather than an earlier copy of the page.
Supported interaction and outcome checks
Section titled “Supported interaction and outcome checks”Within the supported page and policy boundaries, browser work can include opening or selecting tabs, navigation, locating visible controls, entering or replacing text, choosing options, ordinary key input, scrolling and waiting for a page condition. Discover observes the resulting state before continuing.
This supports a research sequence such as finding current guidance, opening the source, comparing it with another selected page and navigating to a requested resource. In an authorized business workflow, it can also help locate a record, inspect the details and prepare a field change for review. Preparing text remains different from submitting it.
If a control disappears, the page navigates or the browser cannot confirm the outcome, Cortex reports that condition instead of treating an attempted click as success. Login barriers, CAPTCHAs and unsupported automation conditions remain boundaries, not instructions to work around access controls.
Structured and visual understanding
Section titled “Structured and visual understanding”Text and page controls provide precise context. A bounded view of the visible page can add information about charts, layout, rendered reports and error states that text alone misses. These observations complement one another; visual context does not grant unrestricted access to the desktop.
For example, ask whether a dashboard changed after filtering, where an error is visible or whether a rendered report matches its explanation. The answer should remain connected to the current page and selected task context.
Uploads, downloads and interruptions
Section titled “Uploads, downloads and interruptions”An upload uses an attachment you deliberately added to the request and requires confirmation before transfer to the selected page control. Discover does not search unrelated local files for a likely match.
Download awareness provides status and essential metadata: whether a download started, completed or was marked unsafe. It does not automatically read the downloaded file. Review the actual file separately when its contents matter.
Interrupted workflows distinguish completed actions from uncertain outcomes. A successful state-changing action should not be casually repeated after reconnection. If the result of a submission is unknown, inspect the application state before approving a repeat.

Section titled “Availability and controls”Account and organization settings can restrict browser tools, navigation, uploads and consequential actions. The active session and selected tabs determine the task context. See Safety controls and Release Notes for current behavior and shipped changes.
