Cortex for iPhone provides a mobile surface for Cortex conversations, selected context and connected task review. It helps users continue an investigation or follow project work while away from their desk.
Get started
Section titled “Get started”Install from the App Store using the button above or your approved distribution channel, verify the publisher, and sign in with your Cortex account.
Conversations and context
Section titled “Conversations and context”Use iPhone to create and resume chats, open Chat History, follow workflow progress, and answer supported approval requests. Settings include chat saving, personalization, automatic chat restore, privacy scanning, prompt protection, action-safety details, and Style Profile controls.
Attach supported files or images, add pasted code blocks, or use voice input with microphone permission. Responses support editing and retry of user requests, read-aloud and selectable response modes. PDF, Markdown and text exports use the iOS share sheet for choosing the destination.
Connected enterprise work
Section titled “Connected enterprise work”Approved MCP connections supply eligible organizational context. Security workflows and the task center provide access to supported reviews, approvals and Cortex Cloud progress. The selected execution environment supplies the project tools for tasks that continue beyond the phone.
See the Mobile overview, security workflows and Cloud workflows for product capabilities.
An iPhone workspace for questions and decisions
Section titled “An iPhone workspace for questions and decisions”Use Cortex when a question needs attention before you return to the desktop: capture an implementation idea, review a design risk, understand a customer case or check an eligible task’s progress. Voice interactions and attachments preserve supporting context without requiring a full desktop environment.
Collections organize related chats, while forks provide a separate discussion for an alternative approach. Saved history and restored sessions help a conversation remain useful across devices. For project execution, an available connected workspace or an eligible Cloud environment supplies the actual tools.
Apple account paths and sharing
Section titled “Apple account paths and sharing”The published iPhone experience includes Apple Sign-In and Apple subscription support alongside supported web account paths. Use the sign-in choices exposed in the app and manage a purchase with the provider that processed it. Installing the app does not create a second independent enterprise permission boundary.
PDF, Markdown and plain-text exports can become summaries or review artifacts. The iOS share sheet chooses their destination. Check for confidential enterprise records and attachment content before sharing, just as you would on a desktop.
Privacy before send
Section titled “Privacy before send”Review messages and attachments before they enter an AI task. Supported scans can flag credentials, personal data, tokens and other sensitive content; prompt protection addresses instruction risk. These controls support an informed sharing decision but do not mean every model or connected service runs locally.
Product background
Section titled “Product background”Account and device controls
Section titled “Account and device controls”Features depend on the app version, plan and organization settings. Across devices covers continuity, and mobile settings documents privacy, saving and personalization.
Use Face ID, Touch ID or a device passcode and keep iOS current. If the device is lost, revoke its Cortex session through your account or organization.
